Where to Find Mushrooms
in Arc Raiders
Mushrooms are the most annoying resource in Arc Raiders. You need 12 for Scrappy's final upgrade and 7 more for Flickering Flames — but they rarely show up when you want them. Here are the exact spots, guaranteed spawns, and the fastest route to get all 19 without losing your mind.
🍄 Why You Need Mushrooms & How Many
Mushrooms are tagged as Nature (Uncommon) — they restore 15 HP when eaten, but their real purpose is as a crafting material. There are two hard requirements that will have you farming them repeatedly:
| Use | Amount | Other Requirements |
|---|---|---|
| 🐔 Scrappy Level 5 (Master Hoarder) | 12 mushrooms | 12 Apricots, 3 Very Comfortable Pillows |
| 🕯️ Flickering Flames Project — Phase 5 | 7 mushrooms | Project-specific materials |
| Total you'll need | 19 mushrooms minimum | Plan 5–7 farming runs at 3–4 per run |
🚀 The #1 Guaranteed Spot — Spaceport
This is the spot every efficient player knows. Tested across dozens of runs by the community, one specific tree on Spaceport gives 3–4 mushrooms every single raid without needing any special event. During Cold Snap that same tree yields 11. It's also low-risk since Spaceport's high-traffic areas draw players away from this quiet green corner.
-
Swampy Green Area — Below Little Hangar / East Container Yard North-east section of the map, just above Rocket Assembly and Fuel Control and below Little Hangar. Despite Spaceport being concrete-heavy, this is a small, distinctive green watery patch — you'll know it when you see it. The tree sits in a trench near Trench Hatch East. Drop down using the corner ramp, harvest everything, safe pocket immediately.3–4 guaranteed
-
Underground Tunnels — Center of Map A secondary, less reliable location. Mushrooms occasionally appear in the underground tunnel section running through the center of the map. Worth checking only if you're already down there for another reason.1–2 occasional
Step-by-Step: The Fastest Spaceport Run
-
Create an empty custom loadout before you queue An empty custom loadout gives you a Safe Pocket. The free/default loadout does not have one. This is not optional — it's the entire foundation of this farming method.
-
Pre-load 1–2 Adrenaline Shots into the Safe Pocket Cheap to craft and essential for winning the race to the tree before other players. They're easy to make and they sprint-boost you to maximum stamina on demand.
-
Queue Spaceport — check for Hidden Bunker event first When Hidden Bunker is active, the majority of players funnel toward it, leaving the mushroom area empty. Check Live Events before queuing.
-
Route around the high-loot zones, not through them Control Tower, Launch Pads, and the Container Yard are where fights happen. Stick to the outer edges of the map on your way north-east. Bring a gun just in case — there's always someone who ignores the hot zones.
-
Drop down to the trench, harvest the tree Use the corner ramp to drop cleanly. The distinctive blue construction frames above mark the spot. Harvest all mushrooms and apricots. Safe pocket every single one before you move.
-
Extract or let yourself die — either works The nearby Raider Hatch lets you extract cleanly if you have a key. No key? Find an ARC unit and let it finish you. Your Safe Pocket items come home with you regardless. Slightly cursed. Extremely efficient.
-
Requeue and repeat ×4–5 runs At 3–4 mushrooms per run, you'll hit your 12 for Scrappy in 3–4 runs. The additional 7 for Flickering Flames adds 2 more. Budget about 45 minutes total if you run it clean.
💧 Dam Battlegrounds — ~30 Spawn Points
Dam Battlegrounds is the richest map for mushrooms in the entire game — approximately 30 individual spawn points have been documented by the community, spread across multiple POIs. The trade-off is that no single location is as clean and guaranteed as the Spaceport tree. However, Dam's advantage is redundancy — if one zone is looted, several others may not be.
-
Hydroponic Dome Complex North of Water Treatment Control — high loot POI with Nature, Industrial, and Security drops. Mushrooms spawn inside the facility in stagnant water pools OR directly outside on the surrounding trees. They alternate between these two locations, so always check both before leaving. This is Dam's single highest-density zone.2–4 combined
-
Water Treatment Control — Pipe Corridor The long windowed corridor connecting Water Treatment Control to Primary Facility, lined with pipes running southeast toward Research & Administration. Mushrooms grow on the pipes on both sides. Pan your camera carefully — caps blend into pipe textures and are easy to miss at a glance.1–3 per run
-
Central Swamp Lift — Surrounding Trees Trees around the Central Swamp Lift. The visual tell for mushroom trees is key here: look for dead trees that already have small decorative grey mushrooms built into the model. The large white harvestable mushroom spawns at the base of exactly those trees.1–2 per run
-
Wreckage Area — near Baron Husk Southwest of Testing Annex. Find the massive broken robot surrounded by scattered twisted metal. Mushrooms grow on fallen logs and branches in this area. Much less contested than the Dome — good fallback if the main zones are stripped.1–2 per run
-
Swampy Riverbanks — South Swamp Outpost / Old Battleground Western side of the map. Lower and less consistent spawn rate but high mushroom environment — humid, water-adjacent, tree-heavy. Chain it in at the end of your route if you still need 1–2 more to hit your count.Occasional
🌀 Blue Gate — Trending +300% Right Now
Search interest for "mushrooms blue gate arc raiders" spiked +300% in the last 24 hours. Blue Gate has limited natural mushroom spawns but earns its place in certain situations. The honest truth: it's not your primary mushroom map, but it's a legitimate bonus stop.
-
Raider's Hideout — Surrounding Trees Several trees around the Raider's Hideout area have a chance to spawn mushrooms. Not guaranteed, but a quick sweep on your way through costs nothing.Chance spawn
-
Basement Locations — High-Humidity Indoor Zones Blue Gate's basement sections are the right environment for mushrooms — dark, humid, enclosed. Limited spawns found here. Good secondary check while routing through the map.1–2 occasional
-
Wicker Baskets — Lush Blooms Only Blue Gate gets wicker basket spawns during Lush Blooms that frequently contain mushrooms. This is where the trending interest is coming from — it's genuinely good during the event, combining mushrooms with the olives and prickly pears you're already farming here.Event only
🌸 Lush Blooms & Cold Snap — The Cheat Codes
Two events completely transform mushroom farming. If either is active when you're planning a session, prioritize them above everything else.
| Map + Condition | Mushroom Yield | Priority |
|---|---|---|
| Spaceport — Standard | 3–4 from tree | ✅ Best reliable daily option |
| Spaceport — Cold Snap | 11 from same tree | ⭐ Drop what you're doing and queue |
| Dam Battlegrounds — Lush Blooms | Very high — baskets + boosted naturals | ⭐ Best total volume per run |
| Any map — Lush Blooms | High — wicker baskets on all maps | ✅ Farm whichever is currently active |
| Blue Gate — no event | Low, situational | ⚠️ Secondary only |
| Buried City — no event | None — zero natural spawns | ❌ Don't farm mushrooms here |
🧠 Safe Pocket Trick & Farming Tips
-
Empty custom loadout = Safe Pocket This is the single most important tip in this entire guide. The free/default loadout has no Safe Pocket. Create an empty custom loadout before you ever queue for a mushroom run. Safe Pocket items survive death — this is non-negotiable.
-
Pre-load Adrenaline Shots in Safe Pocket before queuing Cheap to craft, easy to carry. Use one when you spawn far away and need to win the race to the tree. Max stamina + free sprint for a few seconds. They stack with the empty loadout — you still have room for your mushrooms afterward.
-
Safe pocket every mushroom the moment you pick it up Don't wait until you've collected them all. Each mushroom goes into Safe Pocket the instant it enters your inventory. A mushroom sitting in regular inventory is a mushroom someone can steal, or that you lose if you get downed before pocketing.
-
Learn the visual tell for mushroom trees Dead trees with small decorative grey mushrooms already modeled into the bark. The large white harvestable mushroom spawns at the base of exactly those trees — nowhere else. Train your eye to spot them fast and you'll cut significant time off each run.
-
Mushrooms do not respawn mid-raid — requeue immediately Once a spawn is harvested, it's gone for the entire raid. Don't waste five minutes exploring hoping something comes back. Requeue and run the same route — it resets fresh each session.
-
Dying intentionally is a legitimate extraction method No Raider Hatch key? Let an ARC unit finish you after pocketing your mushrooms. Slightly unhinged as a strategy. Completely valid. Your Safe Pocket comes home regardless of how you leave the raid.
🗺️ See Every Mushroom Spawn on the Map
Open your sector map and enable the Nature Resources filter to see all mushroom spawn markers, wicker basket locations, and nearby extraction points before you queue.
