Arc Raiders Map Rotation & Event Schedule
What actually rotates in Arc Raiders is not which maps you can play — all five sectors are always available. What rotates are the conditions and events on each map, on an hourly schedule set by Embark. This guide explains how that works, what each condition does, and how to use the live tracker to plan your runs.
How Map Rotation Works
Arc Raiders does not rotate which maps are available. All 5 maps — Dam Battlegrounds, Buried City, Acerra Spaceport, The Blue Gate, and Stella Montis — are always accessible. What rotates are the conditions/events on each map. Each map runs on its own independent hourly schedule set by Embark. Events start on the hour and last approximately 60 minutes. When an event ends, that map returns to Standard Patrol until the next scheduled event. This is time-based and fixed — not influenced by player count or votes.
The Live Tracker
The ArcMaps events tracker shows current and upcoming events across all maps in real time. Use it to see which condition is active on each sector before you queue. arcstatus.com tracks server status separately. Players cannot select a specific condition when queuing — you queue for a region and the active event is applied automatically. The in-game map screen shows the current event icon before you drop in.
All Map Conditions Explained
Standard Patrol
No active event; the default map state. Normal loot and enemy behaviour. All maps can be in Standard Patrol when no event is scheduled for that hour.
Night Raid
Darkness, changed enemy spawns, and flashlights essential. Some blueprints and objectives are only available during Night Raid. Affects multiple maps on their own schedules. See Buried City and Stella Montis for Night Raid–specific spots.
Hurricane (Bird City)
Wind and storm, knockback outdoors, reduced visibility. Hurricane was introduced in the Shrouded Sky update (February 24, 2026) and is a relatively new condition. Embark adjusted Bird City frequency to approximately every 3 hours after community feedback about timezone fairness. See Dam and Spaceport for Hurricane behaviour.
Cold Snap
A returning seasonal condition — not always available. When Cold Snap is active, freezing conditions apply: Raider Caches spawn without foliage and must be breached; more caches are active and blueprint drop rates are higher, making it the best farming condition when it runs. Check the live tracker and target Cold Snap for blueprint runs when it is scheduled. See Cache Locations and zone maps for cache zones.
Flashpoint
Introduced in the March 2026 Flashpoint update. Lightning strikes crack the sky, affecting ARC behaviour and leaving behind unusual formations in the environment. Check the live tracker for Flashpoint schedules.
Electromagnetic Storm
Increases ARC Courier spawns; best time to farm Sentinel Firing Cores. Surveyors more active. See Dam, Spaceport, and Blue Gate for Courier routes.
Locked Gate
Blue Gate–specific; security codes required to access certain areas. Tied to the Bobcat blueprint and event-specific loot. See Blue Gate map.
Hidden Bunker
Stella Montis–specific puzzle event. Requires solving the bunker puzzle for access. See Stella Montis map and Tips for the puzzle solution.
Does Rotation Change Mid-Raid?
No. Once you enter a raid, the session locks in that condition. If the hour changes while you are in-raid, nothing changes for your session. The new condition only applies to the next session.
Rotation Frequency by Map
Some events are rarer by design. Bird City/Hurricane historically appeared rarely; Embark now schedules it approximately every 3 hours. Standard Patrol fills any hour without a scheduled event. Because the cycle is predictable, players use trackers to plan when to queue for their target condition. Check the live events tracker before each session.
Tips for Using the Rotation
- Check the live tracker before queuing so you know which condition is active on your target map.
- Cold Snap (when active) and Night Raids are the best conditions for blueprint farming — more caches and higher drop rates during Cold Snap; Night Raids boost blueprint rates across all containers.
- Electromagnetic Storm is best for Sentinel Firing Core farming.
- Night Raid changes enemy behaviour significantly — prepare a different loadout (flashlight, awareness).

Frequently Asked Questions
How does map rotation work in Arc Raiders?
All 5 maps are always available. What rotates are the conditions/events on each map. Each map has its own hourly schedule set by Embark. Events start on the hour and last about 60 minutes; when one ends, the map returns to Standard Patrol until the next event. The schedule is fixed and time-based.
Can you choose which map condition to play in Arc Raiders?
No. You queue for a region; the active condition is applied automatically. The in-game map screen shows the current event icon before you drop. Use the ArcMaps live events tracker to see which condition is active on each map before you queue.
How often does Hurricane / Bird City appear in Arc Raiders?
Hurricane was introduced in the Shrouded Sky update (February 24, 2026) and is a relatively new condition. Embark adjusted Bird City (Hurricane) to approximately every 3 hours after community feedback about timezone fairness. It is rarer than some other events by design.
Does the map condition change while you are in a raid?
No. Your session locks in the condition when you enter. If the hour changes in the real world while you are in-raid, your session does not change. The new condition only applies to the next session.
What is the best map condition for blueprint farming?
Cold Snap when it is active (a returning seasonal condition), and Night Raids. During Cold Snap, Raider Caches spawn without foliage and must be breached, more caches are active, and blueprint drop rates are significantly higher. Night Raids also significantly increase blueprint drop rates. Use the live events tracker to queue when these conditions are active on your target map.
